Minnesota desperately needed to fill its hole in the cornerback position, and Spielman and Co. were able to do just that in the 2012 NFL Draft… all while waiting until Round 3. Entering the draft and free agency, the Minnesota Vikings had a number of holes, but four of them were glaring priorities–offensive line, safety, wide receiver and corner back. After drafting Matt Kalil fourth overall, they took care of the need at left tackle. Speilman quickly satisfied another need later in the same round.
