Who’s In: Vikings or Giants?

SI.com’s Andrew Perloff explored a question many of us Vikings are asking ourselves today–Who’s In: Vikings or Giants? Fine. Fine. No one in Minnesota cares whether the Giants will make the playoffs, but for better or worse, Minnesota’s playoff hopes are intimately tied with New York’s.

Perloff looks at the Vikings daunting schedule–at Houston and Green Bay at home to finish the season–and thinks the same thing most people are thinking. Mainly, the Vikings have no shot at making the playoffs. We’re okay with that. We like being the underdog and playing the nobody-believes-in-us role.

We’ll need to win the turnover battle next Sunday in Houston again to pull out another victory on the road, but it’s certainly a winable game. The margin for error, however, is very narrow.

As for the Giants, they’re in a three-way tie for the division lead. They finish the year at Baltimore and against Philly at home. Perloff thinks not only will they make the playoffs, but if they do squeak in, they’ll win the Super Bowl.
