Rodney Williams has surpassed 1,000 points this season. He needs 25 rebounds to reach 500 on his career, 28 assists to reach 200 and 27 more blocks to reach 150. He is close to joining Kevin Lynch and Sam Jacobsen as the only players in Gophers history to score 1,000 points, grab 500 rebounds and tally 200 assists. Incredible.
What he’s most known for, however, is his high-flying act. Episode 2 of Dunking with Rodney Williams opens up with his 360 dunk again North Dakota State, which was featured the next day on Pardon the Interruption (and which Michael Wilbon mocked for Williams showing off).
Episode 2 breaks down the put-back dunk and features a sick one-handed put-back Williams had last year against Ohio St.
