Dunking with Rodney Williams- Episode 2

Rodney Williams has surpassed 1,000 points this season. He needs 25 rebounds to reach 500 on his career, 28 assists to reach 200 and 27 more blocks to reach 150. He is close to joining Kevin Lynch and Sam Jacobsen as the only players in Gophers history to score 1,000 points, grab 500 rebounds and tally 200 assists. Incredible. Minnesota beat Illinois despite the paltry contribution from the bench thanks to 29 points from Joe Coleman, 22 from Dre Hollins and 19 from Trevor Mbakwe. Saturday’s loss at Indiana wasn’t much better either. Maverick Ahanmisi came off the bench to hit two threes during a...

Bruce Pearl Believes Gophers Can Win National Championship

The Minnesota Gophers have been gaining national attention as the season has progressed. Coming off a loss to Indiana last Saturday in Bloomington, the Gophers lost for the first time in 13 games and for only the second time all season. They remain in the top ten national rankings. ESPN’s Bracketology expert Joe Lunardi has Minnesota currently sitting at a 3-seed, which would be their highest tournament seed since they held a #1 seed in the 1997 tournament. As the attention rises, so does the pressure. But for anyone wondering if the Gophers have what it takes to win...
